Look Out Gallup, Harris and Zogby -- It's Sean Hannity! It's no secret to anyone who's accidentally tuned into the Hannity & Colmes show on Fox News and thought they stumbled across an over-the-top Saturday Night Live sketch, that Sean Hannity doesn’t have a real firm grasp on reality. I mean, this is the same man who once offered a liberal guest the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hobson%27s_choice " target="_blank">Hobson's choice of "Is it that you hate this president or that you hate America?" Hannity's also been known to claim that the Constitution doesn't say anything about the separation of church and state and, in a May 2004 edition of his television show, asked a clergyman if they could "pray for the re-election of George Bush." So it didn’t really surprise me today when I went to http://hannity.com " target="_blank">Hannity's web site and saw a poll on the front page that asked his erudite fans "What do you think about WMD's being found in Iraq?" This is on his main page right now, not four years ago. Note to Sean: You may want to stop praying for Bush and give him a call with this news. I'm sure he'll be happy to hear it. Hannity started college but never finished -- he didn't drop out to http://www.nhgazette.com/news/chickenhawks/barking_head_brigade " target="_blank">join the military either -- so it looks like he never got to take a statistics class where one might learn about clean survey methodology, because the choices given to his viewers and listeners on the WMD question are, well, I'll just show you.
Now, there's some fine choices for the Rhodes Scholars who take in Hannity's twisted wisdom every day. The closest option to the truth in Hannity's world is evidently the choice that suggests you're a dummy and just didn’t know that Republican Senator Rick Santorum had recently made the http://thinkprogress.org/2006/06/21/dod-disavows-santorum " target="_blank">WMD discovery that shocked the world -- and all but doomed his failing re-election campaign in Pennsylvania. But digging into Hannity's polling archives kind of confirms what you already knew about the average Fox News consumer. Take a look at these poll results on global warming:
They're probably still scratching their heads at Fox trying to figure out where the hell that eight percent came from. Take a look at this one from November of 2005 asking whether the U.S. should withdraw troops from Iraq or "stay the course."
All this poll tells me is that 94 percent of these people get all of their information from The National Enquirer and Fox News. Oh, and if you're wondering how Hannity's rocket-scientist following answered his WMD poll, 92 percent either thought that "Bush was right" or "I knew Saddam had them!" You'll see what kind of people are taking these polls on Hannity's site if you slum it on over into his discussion forums, where the very first post I saw was from a guy posting on Saturday and speaking of the crisis in Lebanon. "I have no sympathy for those people on the news crying over the death of their family, friends or pets. They got what they deserved," said Sean's troglodytic admirer. How much you want to bet this guy left for church not long after writing that? Of course, when you get done snickering at some of Hannity's polls, and wallowing in the forums, you could wander over to http://www.hannity.com/hannidate/index.php?page=index " target="_blank">Hannidate, Sean's little network of conservative personal ads -- and no, I'm not kidding. It really exists. A place where these people can hook up and possibly reproduce. Say, isn't that where Michael Douglas met Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction? Wonderful job Sean
Wonderful job of "catapulting the propaganda", Sean. I'm hoping that someone will read it to George for you, so that he can be very proud of the job that you are doing to counter the evil liberal press and their lies about the WMDs.

About Hannity's stellar college career
He enrolled at Santa Barbara city college, where even cadavers matriculate but he never set foot in a classroom. He accidentally discovered the campus radio station and that how that nightmare was born. From construction worker to pundit. The American dream.
About Hannity's stellar college career
Let's not jump to a conclusion that Hannity is an a**hole because he doesn't have a college degree. A lot of his soulmates do (i.e., Wolfowitz, Cheney, Bush, Perle, etc.) and a lot of good it does them! On the other hand, there are a lot of intelligent and well-educated people who don't have high school diplomas, let alone college degrees, and they aren't a**holes. Stick to criticizing Hannity's behavior and ideas instead of taking an unfair swipe at his background.
You are correct in that a
You are correct in that a college education is not required for success or wisdom, but you have confused Hannity with a normal person. There is no "unfair swipe" when it comes to hate-mongers and outright liars who twist the "facts" for personal gain. Hannity denigrates fellow US citizens for far less than not having an education -- he is a bigot, and an idiot pretending to be something he is not. The same goes for Rush Limbaugh.
Anything in Hannity's background is fair game, and his lack of an education is just another reason that he should not be allowed a legitimate "news" venue to spew his venom. Having one-sided and widespread access to, and the ability to influence, the US public should be reserved for well-rounded, educated, and informed professional journalists.
Hannity just plays one on TV.
Unfair????
The man gets on the radio every day calling people like us everything but American, and acts like he occupies some intellectual high ground, when he is an idiot who couldn't even achieve a college degree. With all the degrees on this site, there are many people with more qualifications than Hannity will ever have. Have you not heard him on his facist propoganda show ripping apart the backgrounds of Democrats? When he gets on the radio spreading his hate like fact, he opens himself to us fighting back, which completely includes digging into his sorry, failed past. Oh, and by the way, just for the record, Hannity IS an a$$hole!!!!!!!!!!!
"The world is full of
"The world is full of educated derelicts." - Calvin Coolidge
Sean is neither educated nor possesses any wisdom. He is a purveyor of pure hatred, prejudice and intolerance. He leads a school of lemmings into oblivious, blind patriotism, while people die, at the rate of over 100 per day, and he keeps on going. This is truly a person void of all decency and conscience.
I have more respect for the news stories that The Enquirer prints about aliens, than I do for Hannity and the garbage he spews out of his piehole.
They have a name for a group of people that abandon reality, follow a "leader", in search of aggrandized fame: a Cult!
Jim Jones, David Koresh, Sean Hannity....
The truly sick part is Hannity gets paid for this shameless and dangerous illusion that denies even the most sound logic, facts and truths.
Koresh had to set himself on fire and Jones had to drink poison Kool-aid to gain their fame, much too dangerous for Sean. As would be joining the armed forces and paticipating in the illegal war he trumpets so loudly. No, Sean would rather sit in his comfy TV studio and ask mindless, thoughtless followers to send their kids to an early death.
"You are getting very sleepy...now send your kids to war so my rating will go up..."
"If being liberal means critical thinking and informed dissent, instead of blind obedience and ignorant nationalism, then I am all for it!"
