Political Change

Political Change

Barack Obama should institute a revolutionary change in the government structure by spliting the VP position and introducing a second VP running mate. Hiliry Clinton would be nominated VP of Economics, Health Care and Education with Bill Clinton as AVP of Economics and two other candidates yet to be identified to undertake Health Care and Education. Jo Biden who is an Hilary Fan would undertake everything else (International; Homeland Security etc... and would work in harmony with Hillary.

Would you favor such a change.

No Corporation relies on only one VP; the world has evolved so much that such a change makes sense.

Post your comments.

Such an announcement would be a fatal shock to the Republicans!!!

Political Change

I agree 100% on the need for political change.  I am 67 yrs. old, and have watched the political and economic state of this nation, be corrupted.  Little by little, watching liars, crooks, and incompetancey, ruin this country.

The political system needs to be changed, because we have a larger population, a more diverse population.  Why are we still using a system that was put together, when there wasn't a large and diverse population?  The local district representatives should be involved in keeping local districts up-to-date about what is going on in Washington. Why does there have to be 'reporters' only from newspaper and tv networks?  Can't there be political reporters, who work for the people of each district?  To gather information from the local level, up to the Federal level, and have a political newspaper or post on one of the tv network's website.  This would keep people informed about who's doing what within our government. From the local level all the way up.  A huge undertaking, of course it is. But the political climate is a huge entity it's self, being run like a playground.  I am a registered Democrat.  I have never once been contacted by anyone from the Democratic party to be asked my opinion about anything.  Or have someone call me to ask if I needa ride so I can vote.  Or asked if I would like to go to a Democratic meeting and if I needed a ride to get there.  In order to win a fight (issue), a boxer has to be quicker, faster, be able to out think their opponent and be one step ahead of the opponent.  I don't see any of that going on with the Democratic party.  The shakers and movers all the way down to the individual districts, need to seriously think about this, because I can see the writing on the wall. Gilles Sequin is absolutely right, someone needs to listen to him.

There's that pesky old

There's that pesky old document called the Constitution of the United States of America, which only recognizes one Vice President. You know, chain-of-command, line-of-succession, President of the Senate, and all of that boring legal stuff.

The Executive Branch already has a multitude of "VPs" -- they're called Secretaries of the various Executive Departments, or Cabinet Members.

We don't need to change the titles, or the makeup of the Executive Branch. We just need the combined Congress to perform its sworn function of overseeing the Executive Branch, and upholding the Constitution. That, and some real adults in the Executive Branch would help to get this country back on track.

Bill's right

That damned old piece of paper as Bush called it is sacrosanct. Any attempt to change the constitution would open it up to a lot more schredding then anyone wants to contemplate. Besides, we have the system in place to fill those positions, they are called 'the Cabinet'. the only problem today is that birds of a feather flock together so we have, to steal McCain's words, "the sleazy, the slippery and the slimy" making up the entire executive branch.
