Denver Democratic Convention
I found it curious that no where in the forum is there reference of the upcoming Democratic Convention in Denver, CO. As a resident of Denver, and an avid Democrat, I was surprised that this pivotal gathering hasn't received any attention on this forum.
Is anyone attending? If so who are you representing?
Plans, I'd be more than happy to give you some ideas of what to do in Denver aside from the Convention. It's a great town and has drastically improved in the last decade with the downtown cleaning up and gaining a personality. Suggestions include visting some of the amazing local restaurants, catching a concert at Red Rocks and more.........

Well, no responses is kind of odd.........but anyways I recently learned that Denver hotels are having a hard time meeting the demand for accomadations. So if you are on your way and still need housing check out a home/apartment that is privately rented. I'd avoid craigslist as its full of scammers, but try http://democraticconventionhousing.com/
They have a lot of availability according to my friend, and they're offering some great properties.

Well the convention is constantly getting closer and I thought why not check back to see if anyone has posted, unfortunately no one has. So maybe this is based off the lack of information in my post. Here some great links to arouse interest in the DNC or to help you make the best of your time in Denver.

Expand a bit if you're visiting
I just have to add to your suggestions. If people are coming to the convention why not take a little of that time to come down to Colorado springs as well. Come see the incredible beauty of Garden of the Gods, experience the Wind Caves, and visit Manitou Springs and Old Colorado City, to mention a few things. Colorado springs is at the foothills of Pikes Peak, take a trip up to the top for one of the most amazing sights. Colorado is such a wonderful tourist attraction, you should really plan to see some of it while you are here.
