Fury of the Netroots
After a few reads of various blogs, I find that I'm not alone when I say I'm angry as hell that Joe Lieberman was allowed to give the Democratic Response today. But it's symptomatic of where the party is and will have an effect on fund raising. I won't be the only one refusing to give to the Democratic party in the near future.
Just where in god's name are Progressive Democrats (aside from Pelosi) in leadership positions? Why would Harry Reid want to piss off those of us who wanted Lieberman gone and recognize that he held on to his seat via the Republicans? Are our leaders so afraid of Loserman's threat to go where he belongs (to the Repugs), that we don't care that our entire agenda gets trashed?
Today, I am seriously thinking "Green". If I'm going to loose, I would rather die with my boots on, fighting for what I believe in, rather than "chicken$hit Liebermanism" We voted (also with our donations) to get the hell out of Iraq and Democrats are not only too chicken to cut off the funding, have now compounded that insult to progressives by giving Lieberman a bull horn and a critical chairmanship. The last time he led it, he gave "Brownie you're doin a heck of a job" a 45 minute confirmation hearing.
Thanks guys, did we really win anything last November or did I waste a lot of hard earned money, supporting RepubliCrats?
Do me and yourselves a favor. Don't call me right now looking for a hand out, or the poor person calling will get an earful before I slam the phone down.

As Dr. Phil might say, "what in the hell were they thinking?" To allow Lieberman to even hint that he represents the Democratic Party is ludicrous, and a slap in the face to every real Democrat in the country.
Harry Reid has either lost his mind, or he is not up to the job to which he was entrusted by his peers. His cow-towing to the DLC contingent in the Senate is more than cause for his replacement.
Are there no real elected Democratic politicians left...?

are Republican sheep in wolves clothing. They hate the worker and democracy which is our Democratic Party base and philosophy.
Voting for globalization saying it is the way the world is now and we have to compete is just a plain lie. Other countries look out for their trade balance and profit. We can trade with the world without our trade representative, President, or VP doing it behind closed doors. Their "negotiations on trade" have proven a failure. Look at our trade deficit and debt?
We traded with and during times after becoming a nation. We didn't or don't need the WTO.
I was watching CSPAN about trade hearings. The trade representative was "insulted" when a Congressman said, her trade deals weren't good for the country. Too bad. It is unconstitutional and an insult to business and farmers for her doing it in secret and not for our own good anyway. She is a traitor and should be removed for violating the Constitution. Congress negotiates trade and treaties (since they most represent the people)...in public and with our permission.
She nor any other Executive branch official is legally under our Constitution allowed to do trade deals. No one mentioned that but me screaming at my TV.
What arrogance they perform before us in our own homes.
Joe Lieberman does not represent the Democratic Party in any way
,shape or form.
When we have good men such as Jim Webb and Russ Feingold( just to name a few),
why pick a Republican-lite? It just doesn't make sense.
I would be interested to hear Harry Reid's justification for picking Lieberman.
Lieberman speak for Dems?
The Democrats in CT rejected Lieberman as their representative. He is no longer a Democrat but an "Independent". What is this ploy to act like he represents anyone when he has taken on a policy of not supporting the Democratic people's wishes in his state?
They have given Lieberman power and a voice he does not deserve. It is obvious to me that our arrogant leaders don't listen to the people and are in their own little "Congressional frat club" after all. Their arrogance is ruining our democracy. Their greed destroying our future.
Tell Harry there is
no justification for this Benedict Lieberman to represent any of us that voted you in to kick the slime out of the House on the hill.

Lieberman is nothing more than a giant boil on the backside of the Democratic Party...and (it) needs to be lanced so it can drain and (eventually) heal.

I was appalled when I read this pseudo "Democrat" gave the Democratic address! I felt like I had gone down the rabbit hole with Alice.
