BREAKING: Trump and His Lawyer Can't Agree on Whether Trump's Under Investigation

We knew the Trump White House was incompetent. But this is getting ridiculous.
This JUST happened:
An attorney for President Donald Trump was adamant on Sunday that the president is not under investigation, despite the president’s tweets this week referring to one as a “witch hunt.”
“Let me be clear here,” said Jay Sekulow, a member of the president’s legal team, on NBC’s “Meet The Press.” “The president is not and has not been under investigation for obstruction.”
On Friday morning, President Trump sent a tweet that seemed to confirm that he was under scrutiny, writing, “I am being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director! Witch Hunt.”
Um.
Yeah.
That just happened.
And if that wasn’t enough, Jay Sekulow proceeded to claim on multiple news shows that his boss, Donald Trump, was not under investigation – despite his boss saying in public that he was.
How bananas is this? When CNN’s Jake Tapper asked Trump’s lawyer on a different Sunday morning show why Trump had said, in public, that was under investigation if, in fact, he is not, this is the response he got:

If you can’t watch the video, here’s a transcript:
“That response on social media was in response to the Washington Post piece. It’s that simple. The president is not under investigation,” he said.
“Well, I wish it were that simple,” Tapper responded, “but with all due respect, the president said, ‘I am being investigated’ in a tweet, and people take his word on that. But you’re his attorney, and you’re saying that the president, when he said that, was not accurate.”
“It was 141 characters, there’s a limitation on Twitter, as we all know, and the president has a very effective utilization of social media,” Sekulow said.
“There should be no confusion,” Sekulow added. “The president is not under investigation.”
“But it is confusing,” maintained Tapper.
Wha?
How ridiculous is this? Even Fox News host Chris Wallace couldn’t believe what he was hearing:
During his appearance on Fox News Sunday, things got pretty heated between Sekulow and host Chris Wallace as Wallace pushed back on the attorney’s convoluted explanations about why Trump is not being investigated.
After Sekulow had begun the interview the way he had his others by stating that Trump is not under investigation, Wallace brought up Trump’s tweet confirming he was being investigated to ask a different question — why is the president going after Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein? And, also, does Trump think Rosenstein did anything wrong?
Sekulow responded by saying the president hasn’t said anything about the deputy AG while stating that POTUS is now being investigated by the Department of Justice, leading to a contentious back-and-forth as Wallace pointed out Sekulow just stated the president is under investigation.
“He’s not being investigated,” Sekulow exclaimed, adding that he wanted to be “crystal clear” that they are “not aware of any investigation.”
Trump’s lawyer can’t even agree with himself on whether Trump is being investigated – much less with his boss.
Online response was equally confounded:
