Impeachment
After three years as a construction manager in Iraq I have two days and a wake up when I catch my last Blackhawk and will not return again. We are through here. We have no viable IA to stand up and the IP is its own insurgency. Time to go home and time to bring those responsible for all of this sorrow to justice. Pelosi be damned we cannot let this pass.

Ousting Bush and Cheney ASAP
Milt should be on his way home by now. If you read this Milt let us know how you are......and tell us what IA and IP mean. As one who has been in Iraq so long and observed first hand a lot of what is going on there, your comments are especially relevant. I hope you'll continue to make your voice heard, in letters to the editors of newspapers, to your representatives in Washington, etc. You are so right Milt. We cannot let this pass!
Impeachment--not
I don't understand why seems to forget that it takes 60 votes in the Senate to convivt, we have 51. Unless the situation gets so bad, that there is a surity of nine Republican votes, it is all a waste of time ans squandered opportunity.
The same investigations can be conducted in the House, exposing the fraud cronyism, and lies. Congress cannot prosecute, but they can create public pressure on prosecutors to start trying people for crimes they have committtted.
Impeach Justice Scallia, he's made enough policy speeches on issues he will rule on to disqualify him from most cases he will hear.
Number of votes to Convict in Senate
It takes more than 60 votes in the Senate to impeach and convict a president - I believe it takes a 2/3rd's majority or 66 votes. Unless the mood of most of the country is strongly in favor or impeachment, it will run into a brick wall in the Senate.
Unless so much corruption and coverup
come out during the investigations that it destroys the republican party forever, that is.
If I can be forced to pay for an unjust war, I think that would be money well spent.

Before the election, 51% of the country was already in favor of impeaching Bu$h.
Can you imagine how high support goes once the investigations begin to uncover and document even more crimes?
When Nixon was under investigation.....
.....and as the evidence continued to mount against him, Republicans deserted him in mass, because to do otherwise would have been political suicide. Now compared to Bush, Nixon was a boy scout. If the investigations reveal concrete proof, and they will, I think the 60 votes will be there.
